Arper is an Italian company producing and distributing office, home and contract sector furniture worldwide.
Arper collections are distributed in 90 countries thanks to its four partners (Arper Usa, Arper Middle East, Arper Uk e Arper Japan), two branches (Arper Sweden e Arper Singapore) and 10 single-brand showrooms situated in strategic cities worldwide: Milan, London, Cologne, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Oslo, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Dubai and the company’s headquarters in Monastier di Treviso.
Arper is the outcome of an entrepreneurial project that began in 1989 as the evolution of a small leather manufacturing company founded in the 1980s by the Feltrin family under the direction of Claudio’s father, Luigi Feltrin, now Honorary President of the company. The creativity and passion of Arper's founder, Luigi Feltrin, together with research and the pursuit of innovation carried by his sons Mauro and Claudio (who is now Arper's President and CEO), allowed the company to operate internationally and set relevant goals for growth.
At the end of the 1990s, Arper launched an industrial project that took the company into the design field, led to the use of new materials and technologies and a marked change in scale. Together with the evolution of its product portfolio, Arper decided to direct its business activity towards the contract sector, currently representing the 80% of the company's turnover.
Product design is carried thanks to the collaboration with a number of designers, with whom Arper established long lasting relationships which led to the creation of iconic collections. Among the most significant collaborations, that with the Lievore Altherr Molina studio in Barcelona was a milestone for Arper: a creative relationship that led to a series of new products, that have become "long sellers". Among these, Catifa chairs, in 6 different versions, of which more than 1 million pieces have been sold since 2001.
The constant evolution of Catifa led to a development of Catifa 46, Catifa 53 and Catifa Sensit new editions. This collaboration led also to the creation of Kinesit, Arper's first office chair, presented in 2014 and designed with a uniquely innovative approach to the office sector, Loop sofas, Saya, Colina and Duna 02 chairs.
Other international designers contributed to the creation of Arper products: Steeve, a sofa launched during the 2015 edition of Salone del Mobile and designed in collaboration with Jean-Marie Massaud, who had already designed the Aston chair. Juno, designed by James Irvine. Nuur table, designed by Simon Pengelly and winner of the Compasso d'Oro Award in 2011. The Aava collection, designed by Antti Kotilainen. All of these products continue to receive prestigious awards internationally.
